OG Life University | Youth Workforce Program

OG Life University Powered by Purpose. Driven by Youth. OG Life University is a youth workforce program powered by Our Generation Cares and supported by community stakeholders, local artist including small business owners of the Long Beach Latino Chamber of Commerce (www.lblcc.com). Built to prepare the next generation for real-world success, OG Life U offers youth ages 8–24 a culturally relevant, community-rooted platform to learn, grow, and lead. Located at the OGCares Labs in downtown Long Beach, OG Life U transforms a coworking space into a dynamic campus for experiential education. Through hybrid and hands-on labs, youth gain workforce readiness, creative and entrepreneurial skills, and the tools to navigate adulthood with purpose. Whether restoring a project car, building a business, producing media, or joining civic campaigns, participants engage in project-based learning that connects passion with preparation. Programs are enriched by mentorship from local professionals and pop-up workshops led by artists, business owners, and community leaders, making learning personal, flexible, and practical. Students build their resumes through leadership roles, paid internships, and collaborative public showcases that highlight their growth and potential. OG Life U isn’t just a program—it’s a launchpad. Backed by a growing network of entrepreneurs, educators, and changemakers from across Long Beach, it connects underserved youth with opportunity, purpose, and a future they help shape. Participants leave with real skills, meaningful relationships, and the confidence to succeed in both work and life.
